We designed our Square American Timber Rail as a cost-effective solution for applications that do not need the crash rating of our Steel-Backed Timber Guardrail – yet it looks great and offers a protective barrier in areas like parking lots, parks, along driveways, pathways and bikeways.
Using steel plates and hardware at each square post, our Square American Timber Rail offers a strong, attractive, and cost-effective barrier. This easy-to-assemble guide rail system is designed with 6-foot on center post spacing and 12-foot splicing.
Material Specification
Surfaced, #1 Southern Yellow Pine is utilized for a uniform look and reliable strength, and we chamfer the 6-inch by 8-inch post tops and the face of the 4-inch by 8-inch rails for an attractive finish. All the plates and hardware are made from weathering steel for a rustic appeal, also available in hot-dipped galvanized.
To ensure the longest service life, our Square American Timber Rail systems are pressure treated with CCA to 0.60 retention or CA-C upon request.
