Board Fencing
BOARD FENCING BLEND OF DURABILITY, AESTHETICS, AND FUNCTIONALITY
Our Board Fencing products are a longtime favorite for agricultural applications and beautifying estates. This board-on-board fencing is cut for strength and longevity at 6-inches wide, 1 ⅛-inch thick, and 16 feet long – designed for 8-foot post spacing.
This agricultural fencing is also known as “Kentucky Board Fence.” Featuring quality, pine wood fence panels, board-on-board fencing is an excellent choice for corral boards, horse fencing, or a farm-style fence. In the tradition of board fences, posts are spaced every eight feet and typically will have three or four boards running horizontally to help protect your assets and beautify your property. Southern Yellow Pine and Yellow Poplar woods are often preferred and considered to be the best boards for board fencing, while Oak boards are also an excellent option.
Southern Yellow Pine Board Fencing
Southern Yellow Pine is a strong, reliable choice for fence boards. It holds up well over time and accepts treatment better than many other woods, helping your fence last longer.
Our boards come pre-treated with environmentally friendly CA-C, making them ready for above-ground use.
Yellow Poplar Board Fencing
Our Yellow Poplar wood fence boards, considered a soft hardwood, are also stocked and treated with environmentally friendly CA-C but this wood type will only accept a small amount of treatment.
Oak Board Fencing
Oak fencing boards are available from American Timber and Steel on a special order basis. Please contact us.
