RUSTIC SNAKE RAIL FENCING THAT’S BUILT TO LAST AND EASY TO MAINTAIN

Snake Rail Fencing, also known as zigzag fencing, worm fencing, or split rail fencing, is efficient to install, easy to maintain and offers a natural, rustic look. Our Snake Rail Fencing design zigzags at the end of each section, where the rail ends overlap and interlock. This looks recreate the charm of early forms of wood fencing as seen in American historical photographs and paintings.

Its 11-foot-long timber rails are the same as our regular split rail with the ends taper cut. We also offer the rails without the taper cut ends.

To add stability to a snake rail fence, particularly for taller fences or if people may climb or sit on the fence, we recommend that a post or angle bracing be used at each junction or intersection, or that each successive rail is fastened to the lower rail with a screw.
