DURABLE TIMBER PRODUCTS BUILT FOR DOCKS, PIERS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION

Seawall and Marine Timbers are another of our specialty product lines. These timbers are manufactured and treated for uses that include shoreline stabilization, structural supports for pier docks, wales, chocks, fender poles, bridges, piers, dolphin clusters, and guide walls for locks/dams.

For seawall applications and marine environments, we prefer the use of Southern Yellow Pine because of its strength and its ability to allow the treatment chemical to penetrate deep within the timber for better protection. However, most other wood species are also available.

We treat our Seawall and Marine Timbers with CCA, CA-C or MCA to the proper retention based on whether the application is for fresh water or salt water. Then, to help stabilize, strengthen, and reduce shrinkage, Kiln Drying After Treatment (KDAT) is an option.
