WHY WOOD IS THE BEST

We’re advocates of working with wood because it is renewable, biodegradable, sustainable, workable, and strong.

Wood can be responsibly harvested and replenished, offering an eco-conscious alternative to other building materials like vinyl, plastic, steel, or concrete. Choosing wood for your project reduces environmental impact and supports a greener approach to construction.

All of our timber products are made in America, and our Southern Yellow Pine sources support our local Texas tree farmers.

STRENGTH, DURABILITY, AND NATURAL BEAUTY

Southern Yellow Pine is our wood of choice, due to its strength, ability to hold treatments, and natural beauty. For wood guardrail and barrier applications, it’s a very reliable and cost-effective choice. We also work with Douglas Fir, Yellow Poplar, and Oak.

We can meet any wood grade requirement needed for your project. See our gallery for ideas. The long lasting life and beauty of our wood rails and posts cannot be beaten compared to plastic or other fencing materials. Contact our team of timber specialists to discuss your project and the advantages of wood.

WOOD TREATMENTS FOR DECADES OF DURABILITY

We pressure treat with environmentally friendly preservatives of CA-C (Copper Azole Type C) or MCA (Micronized Copper Azole). These water-based preservatives will penetrate through the Southern Pine posts and rails to help protect against pests and decay, ensuring decades of durability.

We also treat with CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate) preservative as well for specific jobs, such as saltwater installations.

Kiln Drying
To help stabilize, strengthen, and reduce shrinkage, Kiln Drying After Treatment (KDAT) is an option for certain applications and objectives.

All of our treatment chemicals and retention levels are according to the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA) standards.
